Head of Video, Pulse TV Nigeria

Location: Lagos, Nigeria


Ringier Africa Digital Publishing is currently seeking a Head of Video for Pulse Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have solid videography experience spanning over at least five years and must have proven success with developing creative and unique formats and premium video content for a multitude of digital platforms.

The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of the Pulse brand and style. In this role, you will report to the Head of Video, Ringier Africa Digital Publishing.

Key duties:

  • A mandate to make Pulse TV the number one source for online video content pertaining to news and entertainment in Nigeria and in Africa

  • Oversee and create video content and pitch new concepts having high visual impact across all Pulse TV digital platforms

  • Full responsibility for all creatives - coordinating a team of producers, scriptwriters, creative talents and technical crew, delegating as appropriate and overseeing all projects and activities from conception through preproduction, into post production and delivery

  • Oversee both in-house and field productions

  • Manage existing talent and source unique and undiscovered talent

  • Collaborate with editorial, video and social media teams effectively

  • Full responsibility for legal and factual concerns for all Pulse TV output including licences, budget, health and safety and other relevant regulations


  • 5+ years videography experience (preproduction, production and post-production)

  • Extensive knowledge of both domestic and international digital and media industry

  • Proven experience with developing digital content in all styles - social, entertainment, news, documentary, etc., and in all forms - short, mid, long form

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience cultivating talent and managing creative personalities

  • Strong project management skills, especially with regard to budgets and timelines

  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be highly organised

  • Must have solid technical skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, namely Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects

Role: Junior Digital Analyst
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

We are looking for a Digital Analyst to monitor our social media initiatives and implement successful digital marketing practices.

For this role, you should have a deep understanding of how different social networks and ads operate and be familiar with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for online content and social listening software. Role:  Video Producer and Scriptwriter
Location: Lagos, Nigeria


The Pulse Video department is a fast paced team renowned for their viral video content across Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and other social media channels. Our output ranges from news shows, to skits, documentaries, on-the-street engagement with our audiences, client campaigns and promos, and live event coverage.

You will work as a producer and scriptwriter to develop innovative and exciting concepts for viral video content and excellent client campaigns.


  • Excellent scripting skills

  • Creative and outside the box thinker

  • Good knowledge of post production and able to use video editing tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects

  • Good knowledge of Pulse, competitors and the new media landscape

Role: Partnerships and PR Intern
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Pulse is looking for an intern to support our fast paced partnerships and PR team by helping us manage relationships, communications with partners, project reporting and research.


Your responsibilities will include:


- Drafting press releases, story pitches, social media posts and other requests

- Providing account management and support for existing partnerships 

- Working across departments and following up as necessary to ensure action items are executed as outlined in partnership MOUs and timelines are met: e.g. social media posts and campaigns, video production, editorial, online marketing

- Research and detailed project reporting 

- Prospecting leads and researching new opportunities, including reaching out to potential partners in different categories.

We are looking for a Accounts Officer that will support the Head of Business Intelligence, RDM Africa to ensure accurate and real time campaign reporting, working closely with our sales and account management teams across all our markets (Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya).


Key duties will include:

  • Ensure campaign/ project accuracy on internal reporting systems with respect to Cost of Goods sold for RDM Africa
  • Raise invoices on request from account managers and other non-sales staff
  • Responsible for accounts receivable.
  • Prepare, Update and present reports- daily, weekly and monthly
  • Work closely with your sales and account management colleagues to ensure accuracy and relevance of project and campaigns statuses
  • Analyse data and derive trends and insights

The successful candidate will need to be proficient in the use of Excel and Google sheets, have excellent attention to detail and superb analytical skills. You will also need to be highly organised, proactive and able to work well in a team. The ability to use Salesforce CRM is an added advantage.
